Big Island Organics began in Hawaii in 1996 with the inception of Hawaiian Gingerade on the Big Island of Hawaii. It was an easy mix of farm-grown yellow ginger, organic lemon juice, filtered water and sweet agave nectar and it quickly became part of the local community. Our brand had a rather humble start in the beginning - first appearing at a neighborhood brewery and later making its way to markets across Hawaii.
In 2008 production moved to Northern California to meet a growing customer demand and continued to use high-quality ingredients from trusted suppliers. In those transformations, the brand's core has stayed consistent: its original, authentic spirit and character have been maintained in the drinks.
Big Island Organics now continues to live up to its island roots and serves its gingerades and lemonades to islanders and beyond, via natural food markets and online vendors. The name Pacific96 reflects that connection thus bridging past and present while paying tribute to where the story began.
